R. Moussignac was born in 1938 in Jeremie, Haiti. After High School at the Lycée Pétion in Port-au-Prince, he became a radio technician. Five years later, in 1951, he decided to take up painting and was strongly influenced by Ernst Louizor, who was beginning at that time.
